The BYD eMAX 7 has a permanent magnet synchronous AC motor and front wheel drive automatic transmission. It follows ZEV emission norms and it can achieve 180 kmph top speed.

The eMAX 7 EV has an AC, Heater, Height adjustable driver seat, Automatic climate control, Air quality control and power steering. The BYD made this MPV more convenient with Rear parking sensors, Keyless entry, Voice command, Cruise control and Follow Me Home headlamps.
The eMAX 7 has a MacPherson suspension at the front and a multilink suspension at the rear. Its antilock braking system is equipped with disc brakes at the front and rear for better control. It has a wiper washer and defogger at the rear window. The Superior models come with a panoramic sunroof and electric boot opening.

The eMAX 7 has safety features like an antilock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, child safety locks, central locking, 6 airbags, seat belt warning and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
It is provided with a Hill assist, Speed-sensing door lock, Engine immobilizer, Traction control, Speed alert, Door ajar warning, tyre pressure monitoring system and Hill descent control. For music and communication, you will find a wide 12.8 inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, 6 speakers, USB ports, FM radio and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
