Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt: detail comparison
Recently two companies will bring their next models Tata Curvv and Basalt to the market with new design and dimensional aspects. Tata and Citroen, both companies are planning to launch their model soon this year.
Tata is a well-known Indian company and Citroen is a French auto manufacturing company started in 1919 by Andre Citroen. For those planning to buy a 4-wheeler or SUV, Tata is launching its most awaited Curvv on 7th August and Citroen is planning to launch Basalt as soon as possible. Here is the detailed comparison between the Curvv and Basalt.
Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt: design
At first sight, you will notice both the model Curvv and Basalt designed a coupe-style SUV look. They look a little similar and maintain stylish and advanced design. Citroen tried to showcase the cool sloping roofline of Basalt which is definitely eye-catching.
Similar to the French model Basalt, the Tata Curvv design with a twin spoiler effect is made to aim for the future. Both models are very stylish and received popularity equally.
The front view of TATA Curvv look reminds its bigger siblings Harrier and Safari. While designing Curvv, TATA continued its signature distinctive three-piece LED DRL. Also, Citroen Basalt’s front side is notably similar to its previously launched model C3 Aircross. At the same time, Basalt adopted some changes like Quad LED DRLs.
The side view of both models showcases the impressive sloping roofline and is designed to achieve muscular appeal.
Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt: features
Both rival SUV companies did not reveal more details about features. The duo brands have not stated any update about the models but it is said that soon they will make it public. Curvv is loaded with lots of features and ready to compete with all its rivals including Basalt. Citroen has also tried to provide all the Comforts in its models to survive in the competition.
Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt: specifications
In terms of power, Tata Curvv has more options available; diesel engine, turbo engine and electric variant. Curvv was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine.
There is a possibility that Curvv will be launched with two manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options. The Basalt is expected to launch with a 110 ps 1.2 l turbo petrol engine as like the C3 Aircross with manual and automatic transmission variants.
Tata Curvv vs Citroen Basalt: price
Both the companies of SUV coupes have not announced their pricing but it is expected that the Curvv will start from Rs. 11 lakh (Ex-showroom) and Basalt will start from Rs. 8 lakh (Ex-showroom). The EV model of the Tata Curvv is expected to price about Rs. 20 lakh (Ex-showroom).
